Clint Smith
Inducted into National Dirt Late Model HOF!
(August
14, 2021) Although he has not raced so far in
2021, Clint Smith was inducted into the National Dirt
Late Model Hall of Fame earlier today, August 14 in a
ceremony held at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky
during the annual 'North/South 100' weekend! The inaugural
Hav-A-Tampa Dirt Racing Series champion in 1993 and a
four-time Southern All Star champion, Smith was a longtime
WoO competitor with 12 career victories on the national
tour and career-best third-place finish in 2007 points.
Smith has four career Hav-A-Tampa tour victories and 13
career Southern All Star victories among more than 320
career feature victories overall.
The “Cat Daddy” had stints as the GRT house
car driver and for North Carolina-based Dunn Benson Motorsports.
The Hillbilly 100 winner and four-time Alabama State Champion
also had multiple track titles at Senoia Raceway and Seven
Flags Speedway in Douglasville, Ga. Smith’s father
Roscoe Smith was a 2001 inductee as a contributor and
during his driving career used the famed checkerboard
roof carried on by his son’s No. 44 cars. (Josh

Smith Wraps
Up 2020 Season in Billy Clanton Classic
(November
22, 2020) Clint Smith Racing wrapped up their
version of the 2020 racing season on Saturday night, November
21 at the nearby Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia. The
Schaeffer's Oil Fall Nationals Series roared into town
to preside over the 6th edition of the 'Billy Clanton
Classic,' which boasted a $10,000 payday. Clint Smith
laid down the ninth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying
prior to running sixth in his stacked heat race and third
in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the
eleventh row in the 60-lap finale, Clint wound up retiring
early in the contest in the twenty-fourth finishing position.

Fourth in Limited LM; Sees Rain Saturday
(October
25, 2020) Piloting Tim Wilson's Limited Late
Model, Clint Smith returned to action at Senoia Raceway
in Senoia, Georgia on Friday night, October 23. Clint,
who was recently inducted into the Dirt Late Model Hall
of Fame, laid down the sixth quickest lap overall during
qualifying and later moved up two spots during the $1,000
to win main event. "Cat Daddy" crossed underneath
the checkers in the fourth position behind only winner
Austin Horton, Oliver Gentry, and Jacques Daniel. Saturday's
annual 'Billy Clanton Classic' at Senoia, which was scheduled
to pay out $10,000 to the winner for Super Late Models,

Smith Charges
to Top Five in Michael Head, Jr. Memorial
(September
27, 2020) Clint Smith Racing (CSR) invaded the
nearby Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on Saturday evening,
September 26. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series
(SAS) presided over the annual 'Michael Head, Jr. Memorial'
and a $4,054 top prize was up for grabs in the single-day
shootout. Clint Smith nabbed the sixth transfer spot through
his B-Main to advance into the 54-lap main event. After
starting the contest from the inside of the eleventh row,
Clint charged past sixteen competitors during the race
to score a hard-fought fifth place performance behind
only winner Brandon Overton, Joseph Joiner, Austin Horton,

Nabs First Victory of 2020 Campaign!
(September
20, 2020) Clint Smith, who has only entered nine
events during the course of his 2020 racing season, picked
up his first win of the year on Saturday evening, September
19 in a Limited Late Model at the nearby Senoia Raceway
in Senoia, Georgia! Clint stopped the clock second fastest
overall during the qualifying session and led the early
stages of the weekly feature event. "Cat Daddy"
then took the lead again late in the distance to secure
the $750 top prize in besting Dennis Hale, Marty Lunsford,

Holiday Weekend Trip to Dixie Speedway
(September
6, 2020) Clint Smith Racing (CSR) invaded the
historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday
evening, September 5. The Super Late Models took center
stage at the Atlanta-area facility and a $2,000 top prize
was up for grabs. Clint Smith stopped the clock fifteenth
quickest overall during qualifying to earn the inside
of the eighth row for the start of the A-Main. During
the course of the 30-lap affair, Clint moved past four
competitors during the contest to leave Dixie with an

Lands on Podium in Limited LM Special!
(August
30, 2020) Clint Smith, of Senoia, Georgia, was
back in racing action at the nearby Senoia Raceway on
Saturday evening, August 29, as the 'Grey Gumbo Classic'
for Limited Late Models boasted a $2,000 winner's check.
Clint laid down the second quickest lap overall during
the qualifying session to earn the outside of the front
row for the start of the A-Main. At the checkers, "Cat
Daddy" was on the podium in the third spot behind
only race winner Austin Horton and runner-up Kenny Collins.

into SAS Hall of Fame; Competes at TST
(August
16, 2020) Clint Smith Racing (CSR) returned to
racing action on Saturday evening, August 15 at Talladega
Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. Clint Smith, who was
inducted into the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series
(SAS) Hall of Fame during the racing program, vied for
the $10,000 top prize - along with 39 other entrants -
in the annual 'Governors Cup.' Clint advanced into the
SAS-sanctioned main event by virtue of finishing third
in his B-Main and later rolled off from the inside of
the eleventh row in the headliner. "Cat Daddy"
picked up five spots during the course of the contest
and was eventually paid for a sixteenth place showing

Woes Slow Clint Smith Saturday at Senoia
(June
28, 2020) Clint Smith, of Senoia, Georgia, was
back behind the wheel of Tim Wilson's Limited Late Model
on Saturday evening, June 27 at his hometown Senoia Raceway.
A $750 winner's check was on the line in the weekly event.
Clint was focused on capturing a strong finish and possibly
another race win, but unfortunately suffered mechanical
problems during the headliner. "Cat Daddy" was
relegated to a disappointing thirteenth place finish due

Finish Headlines Smith's Opening Weekend
(May
10, 2020) Senoia, Georgia star Clint Smith finally
kicked off his 2020 racing season from May 7-9 in a pair
of big events at his hometown Senoia Raceway! On Thursday
night in a special show broadcast live on www.dirtondirt.com,
Clint laid down the fourth quickest lap in Group B during
the Super Late Model qualifying session and later secured
an impressive win in his heat race. After rolling off
from the outside of the fourth row in the $5,000 to win
headliner, Clint raced hard inside of the top ten for
the first half of the 40-lap contest before he was collected
in a tangle on lap 26. "Cat Daddy" wound up
retiring from the race in the twentieth position.
Behind the wheel of Barry Copeland's new XR1 Rocket Chassis
in the Crate Late Model division on Thursday, Clint qualified
well, but unfortunately broke during the $1,000 to win
main event and was dropped to twenty-third in the final
rundown. Things went much smoother for Clint on Saturday
at Senoia, as he unloaded Tim Wilson's Limited Late Model
for a weekly program. He timed in fifth quickest overall
in qualifying before picking off a trio of competitors
during the A-Main to land in the runner-up spot behind

Smith Kicks
Off 2020 Campaign in Busy Weekend!
(May
6, 2020) Clint Smith, of Senoia, Georgia, will
finally lift the lid to his 2020 campaign at his hometown
Senoia Raceway in a pair of events from May 7-9! On Thursday
night, Clint will unload his familiar #44 Super Late Model
to chase the $5,000 paycheck in a special race that will
be broadcast LIVE on www.dirtondirt.com
and www.floracing.com.
In addition, "Cat Daddy" will pilot Barry Copeland's
new XR1 Rocket Chassis in the Crate Late Model division
to vie for the $1,000 payday.
At Senoia on Saturday evening, Clint will be behind the
wheel of Tim Wilson's Limited Late Model and Barry Copeland's
Crate Late Model, as he will once again pull double duty
in the weekly racing program. Upstart driver Maddie Crane
will wheel Clint's personal Limited Late Model during
the racing program Saturday in the Peach State. Due to
coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, there will be no
fans permitted in the grandstand during these two shows.
