Smith Victorious
Again in Crate Late Model at Senoia!!!
(March
11, 2018) "Cat Daddy" Clint Smith made
it two-for-two in Crate Late Model action at the nearby
Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on Saturday night, March
10! After pacing the field during the qualifying session
to earn Fast Time honors, Clint started the feature event
from the outside of the third row - due to the track's
second division rule. He finally grabbed the point for
good on the tenth circuit and led the remainder of the
A-Main distance to record the $1,000 top prize over Ashton
Winger, Michael Page, Jamie Maurice, and Dylan Knowles!
In a similar $1,000 to win program for the Limited Late
Models, Clint qualified well and briefly challenged for
the top spot early in the feature distance. Track officials
were then forced to call the race early due to intensifying
rain and Clint wound up in the third finishing position
behind only victor Cruz Skinner and runner-up Dennis Hale.

Wins in Senoia Opener; Fourth at EAMS!
(March
5, 2018) Clint Smith bagged his first win of
the young 2018 racing season on Saturday evening, March
3 at the nearby Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia! Behind
the wheel of a Crate Late Model, Clint set a New Track
Record for the class at his hometown racetrack with a
lap of 14.461 seconds before besting Payton Freeman, Ashton
Winger, Dylan Knowles, and Jody Knowles in the main event
to pocket the $700 payday. "Cat Daddy" also
entered a Limited Late Model in the track's season opening
event, but problems in hot laps caused him to scratch
for the night.
On Sunday, March 4, Clint made a last minute decision
to head to East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City,
Alabama to compete in the final day of the 'Chevrolet
Performance 100,' which offered a lucrative $10,000 windfall
for the Crate Late Model division. The Senoia, Georgia
star tagged the tail of a B-Main and advanced to grab
the third transfer spot into the 100-lap feature event.
Clint then moved up inside of the top ten of the headliner,
pitted on lap forty, and stormed back through the field
to claim an impressive fourth place performance behind
only victor Joseph Brown, Rick Culpepper, and Mark Whitener!

(January
14, 2018) Clint Smith, of Senoia, Georgia, wrapped
up the 12th Annual 'Wild West Shootout' tonight at Arizona
Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona and was one of the 45
entrants who signed in to the pit area to vie for the
$13,000 windfall in the miniseries finale. Clint clicked
off the fifth fastest time in his group during qualifying
prior to running sixth in his heat race and fourth in
his B-Main. "Cat Daddy" then started the 50-lap
headliner from the outside of the twelfth row and eventually
retired in the nineteenth position in his last race in
the desert.
(January 13, 2018) The penultimate contest
of the 2018 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries took place
tonight at Arizona Speedway and another $5,000 payday
awaited the winner who stood tall in victory lane at the
Queen Creek, Arizona facility. Clint Smith qualified tenth
fastest in his group during the time trial session before
finishing ninth in his loaded heat race. Following a sixth
place effort in his B-Main, Clint was unfortunately forced
to watch the 40-lap main event, which was eventually won
by Ricky Weiss.
(January 12, 2018) Yet another $5,000
winner's check was up for grabs tonight in the fourth
round of the 'Wild West Shootout' at Arizona Speedway
in Queen Creek, Arizona. Clint Smith laid down the quickest
time in his group during the qualifying session and later
finished second in heat race action. After starting the
30-lap feature from the inside of the fourth row, "Cat
Daddy" unfortunately ran into problems and was the
first retiree - eventually placing twenty-fourth in the
final rundown.
(January 10, 2018) Following a couple
of days off from racing competition, the third round of
the six-race 'Wild West Shootout' miniseries took center
stage tonight at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona.
A hammer-down racing surface greeted the 45 Super Late
Model entrants tonight following a deluge of overnight
rain in the Phoenix area. Clint Smith stopped the clock
fourth fastest in his group during the time trial session
before grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot through
his heat race. Unfortunately, Clint had a good car in
the $5,000 to win headliner, but was taken out by another
competitor, which dropped him to twenty-second in the
final finishing order of the 40-lapper.
(January 7, 2018) Night two of the 12th
Annual 'Wild West Shootout' took place earlier tonight
at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona and another
$5,000 top prize was on the line. Clint Smith knocked
down the fourth fastest time in his group during qualifying
prior to running fourth in his stacked heat race. Following
a triumph in his B-Main, Clint improved eight spots during
the course of the 40-lap feature to garner a solid eleventh
place showing.
(January 6, 2018) Clint Smith and Rob
Mayea's team lifted the lid to their 2018 campaign tonight
in round one of the annual 'Wild West Shootout' at Arizona
Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona. A strong 50 car Super
Late Model field assembled in the desert for the $5,000
to win opener. Clint placed fifth in his loaded heat race
and sixth in his B-Main, which unfortunately kept him
out of the 40-lap headliner, which was eventually won
by Ricky Weiss. "Cat Daddy" did salvage the
night; however, by picking up the victory in the Pro Power
Dash for non-qualifiers and he received $1,000 for his
